The Scream Queen Daffney was a Wrestler, Valet, & Manager best known for her appearances with World Championship Wrestling between 1999 and 2001 and with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling from 2008 to 2011.

As a "military brat", Daffney (Born Shannon Claire Spruill) was born on July 17, 1975, at the Wiesbaden Army Airfield, a United States Air Force base in WiesbadenWest Germany, where her father was stationed. In 1976, her family returned to the United States, residing first in Salt Lake City, Utah, then in Savannah, Georgia and finally on the Scott Air Force Base in St. Clair County, Illinois. They relocated to Oxford in the United Kingdom for three years, before moving to the Ramstein Air Base in Germany until 1987, when her father, by then a Lieutenant Colonel, retired.

In March 1998, Spruill graduated from Georgia State University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Video production, with minors in Acting and Music. She went on to work under the Media Production, before becoming an actress.

​

Daffney was a talented in ring performer and spent time and countless wrestling promotions across the country.  Including WCW, NWA, Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling, Xtreme Pro Wrestling, Ring of Honor, WWE, Women’s Extreme Wrestling, Shimmer Women Athletes, Anarchy Championship Wrestling, TNA, Wrestlelicious, Shine Wrestling, AWE, Southern Legacy Wrestling, and so any more.

​

She spent time training at the WCW Powerplant, and also spent time training with the likes of, Johnny Slaughter, Malia Hosaka, Selena majors (Bambi) Leilani Kai, and anyone she could learn from.

​

On May 22nd, 2000 Daffney became the WCW Cruiserweight Champion.

​

On June 2nd, 2006, Daffney Defeated El Mexico to become the NWA Wrestle Birmingham Junior Heavyweight Champion.

​

Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked her no. 18 of the top 50 female singles wrestlers of the year.

​

Daffney has also appeared in several movies.

​

Daffney suffered a major injury in 2011 while working for TNA that led to her in ring days being done. 

 

She has been General Manager for American Wrestling Elite, and was the hostess for Shine Wrestling in 2012.

​

Daffney also travels and hosts seminars to help the next generation with their promos, and character development.  She is a true treasure to the wrestling business especially here in Alabama.
